Have you ever asked that question? Is it worth it? Is all the struggle to do that which is right
really worth it?
I mean…I know God sees and rewards. And, I don’t really do what I do for the “reward.”
But, in our weary moments…don’t we sometimes wonder, “Was it worth it?”
I read a true story today. It’s from the archives of 911. It inspired me and I hope it stirs up something
fresh in you.
“Today, after a 72 hour shift at the fire station, a woman ran up to me at the grocery store and gave me a hug. When I tensed up, she realized I didn’t recognize her. She let go with tears of joy in her eyes and the most sincere smile and said, “On 9-11-2001, you carried me out of the World Trade Center.” (Source)
It’s important to share our gratitude with those people that did something…or do things that change our lives. What untold stories do you have that would encourage someone else?
Thank people…on purpose…for what they do.
